Why It Matters

A DIY Migration Is How Sites Go Dark For Days.

A botched DNS cutover, a missed database table, or an email account that silently stops receiving mail — migrations fail quietly and you often don’t find out until a customer says they never heard back from you. We plan every step before we touch anything live.

Full Site Migration

Files, database, and configuration moved to your new host and verified working before we switch anything over.

Email Migration

Mailboxes, folders, and existing mail history transferred to the new provider — nothing gets left behind or lost.

Planned DNS Cutover

We stage everything on the new host first and switch DNS only once it’s confirmed working, minimizing any visible gap.

Full Post-Migration Testing

Forms, checkout, login, and email send/receive all tested on the new host before we call the job complete.

Scheduled Off-Hours Cutover

The DNS switch itself is scheduled for your lowest-traffic window so the transition goes unnoticed.

Old Host Kept As Fallback

We don’t cancel your old hosting until the new setup is confirmed stable — your safety net stays in place.

How It Works

Staged, Tested, Then Switched.

02

Migrate & Stage

Files, database, and mailboxes are copied to the new host and set up alongside your live site.

03

Test Everything

Forms, checkout, login, and mail send/receive are all verified on the new setup before cutover.

04

Cutover & Confirm

DNS is switched during a scheduled low-traffic window, and we confirm everything’s live and working.

FAQ

Common
Questions.

Everything you need to know before you book a migration.

Still have questions?
Will my site actually go down during the move?
No meaningful downtime. We build and test your site on the new host first, and only switch DNS once everything’s confirmed working. There’s a brief window during DNS propagation where some visitors may still hit the old server, but your old host stays live and untouched during that window, so nothing is ever unreachable.
Will I lose any emails during the migration?
No. We transfer your existing mail history along with the mailboxes themselves, and we don’t cut over MX records until send/receive is confirmed working on the new provider. Your old mailbox also stays intact until you’re ready to fully retire it.
What if I don’t know my current hosting login details?
That’s common — we can usually work directly with your current or new host’s support team to get access, or walk you through finding your credentials. Let us know during the initial assessment and we’ll sort it out before scheduling the cutover.
How long does a migration take from start to finish?
Most single-site migrations are completed within 2–3 business days from when we get access, including the testing period before cutover. Site + email bundles or larger e-commerce stores can take a little longer depending on complexity.
Do you cancel my old hosting for me?
No — we deliberately leave that to you. We keep your old host active and untouched until you’ve confirmed everything’s working properly on the new one, so you always have a fallback if something needs a second look.
Will my SSL certificate and email deliverability be affected?
No — we reissue and verify your SSL certificate on the new host as part of the migration, and check your SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records so outgoing mail keeps landing in inboxes instead of spam folders after the switch.
