Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated:
This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains when you’re entitled to a refund from Atgler, when you’re not, and how partial refunds are handled for each of our services. It works alongside our Terms of Service — where the two overlap, this page is the authoritative source on refunds specifically.

1. How Refunds Work, In General
Every service below follows the same underlying logic. The specifics for your service are in its own section, but the principles are:
You get a full refund when:
- Atgler hasn’t started work yet, or
- Atgler misses its own stated turnaround, for a service that has one, for reasons within Atgler’s control.
You don’t get a refund when:
- The work has already been completed and delivered, even if something separate on your side is still outstanding (a license file, a DNS change, an approval you haven’t given yet), or
- A delay was caused by you — late credentials, late feedback, late license files, or a decision you haven’t made yet — since that time doesn’t count against our turnaround in the first place, or
- You’ve simply changed your mind after real work has already been done.
In between, there’s a partial refund: if you cancel after work has started but before it’s finished, Atgler looks at how much of the agreed scope was actually delivered and refunds the rest, explained to you in writing. This isn’t a fixed formula — a project cancelled after a day of setup work is different from one cancelled after the build is 90% done — but it’s never “no work done, no refund,” and it’s never “some work done, full refund” either.
2. Website Design, Redesign & E-Commerce Development
These are custom-quoted projects, so refunds are scoped to what’s actually been delivered against the proposal:
- Before work starts: full refund of any amount paid, minus a deposit already used to secure your project slot in our schedule (deposits are non-refundable once a start date is confirmed, since that slot is held for you and turned other work away).
- Design phase, before you approve a concept: if you’re not satisfied with the initial design direction before development begins, that portion is refundable.
- After you approve a design: development begins based on your sign-off, so the design phase is no longer refundable at that point.
- Mid-build cancellation: Atgler calculates what percentage of the agreed pages, features, and integrations are actually built and tested, and refunds the rest.
- After launch: the site is considered delivered in full and is not refundable. Ongoing issues after launch are covered by warranty terms in your proposal, or by Website Care & Maintenance (Section 3) or Emergency Dev Hours (Section 4) if you don’t have a care plan.
Delays caused by you not supplying content, images, branding assets, or feedback on schedule push the timeline back and are not grounds for a refund.
3. Website Care & Maintenance
Care plans (Essential, Growth, Priority) are month-to-month with no lock-in contract.
- Cancelling: takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep full plan access through the period you already paid for.
- No partial-month refunds: because this is a recurring plan and not a one-off job, cancelling partway through a billing period doesn’t entitle you to a prorated refund for the unused days — the same way a monthly subscription generally works.
- If Atgler fails to deliver: if the core coverage you’re paying for (backups, updates, monitoring) wasn’t actually being provided for reasons within Atgler’s control, contact us — that’s assessed and refunded under the general principles in Section 1, not this month-to-month structure.
4. Emergency Dev Hours
Because this service is billed hourly, only for time actually spent, most refund scenarios don’t come up:
- If you cancel before work starts, nothing has been billed, so there’s nothing to refund.
- Once work starts, the one-hour minimum applies even if your issue is fixed in less time.
- Beyond the one-hour minimum, you’re billed only for time actually spent — if work stops partway through an hour block, you’re not billed for time that wasn’t worked.
5. Hacked Site Repair
Standard Repair ($149, 48-hour turnaround) and Priority Repair ($249, 24-hour turnaround), both measured from the point Atgler has full working access to your site.
- Full refund: if Atgler hasn’t started the repair yet, or if Atgler fails to complete it within the stated 48-hour or 24-hour window for reasons within Atgler’s control.
- Not refundable: once the repair itself is complete — malicious code removed, passwords and keys rotated, site handed back working — even if a premium plugin or theme license file you were asked to supply is still outstanding. The repair was delivered; that outstanding file is a separate matter.
- Client-caused delay: time spent waiting on you for access, credentials, or license files doesn’t count against the turnaround, so it can’t be the basis for a “you missed your own deadline” refund claim.
- Mid-repair cancellation: if you cancel after the repair has substantially started — malware already identified or removed, site already made accessible again — but before it’s fully complete, a partial refund is assessed based on how much of the repair was actually done.
6. Site Update Service
Site Update ($99) or Site Update + DB Cleanup ($149). Most updates complete within 24–48 hours, though this is an estimate rather than a plan-tiered guarantee like Hacked Site Repair’s.
- Full refund: if the update hasn’t started yet.
- Not refundable: once the update has been applied, tested, and verified working — the service has been delivered.
- Partial refund: if an update to one component (say, a specific plugin) causes a conflict Atgler can’t safely resolve and you decide not to proceed with that piece, you’re refunded for that unresolved component while keeping the fee for the components that were successfully updated.
7. Site Optimization Service
Site Optimization ($149) or Site + Database Optimization ($249).
- Full refund: if optimization work hasn’t started yet.
- Not refundable: once the agreed optimization work has actually been applied and the before-and-after report delivered. Because Atgler doesn’t promise a specific speed number or score (see the Site Optimization Service page and our Terms of Service), “I didn’t see enough improvement” isn’t by itself grounds for a refund as long as the agreed technical work was genuinely performed.
- Refundable if the work wasn’t actually done: if the agreed optimization tasks weren’t performed as scoped, that’s a service failure, not a results dispute, and is refundable.
8. Site & Email Migration
Website Only ($79), Email Only ($79/domain), or the Site + Email Bundle ($149/domain).
- Full refund: if the migration hasn’t started yet.
- Not refundable: once your site and/or mailboxes have been staged, tested, and cut over per your approval — the migration has been delivered.
- Delayed approval: Atgler stages everything on the new host and waits for your sign-off before switching DNS. If you take time deciding, that delay doesn’t count against the project timeline, and the staged, completed work isn’t refundable just because cutover hasn’t happened yet — it’s ready and waiting on you.
- If Atgler can’t complete it: if Atgler is unable to finish the migration for reasons within its own control (not a limitation of your source or destination host), you get a full refund for the portion not completed.
9. SEO Services & Google Ads Management
These are ongoing, monthly engagements, so they follow the same month-to-month cancellation structure as Website Care (Section 3): cancel anytime, effective at the end of your current billing period, no prorated refund for a partial month.
- Ad spend is never refundable by Atgler. Advertising budget you pay directly to Google or another ad platform is separate from Atgler’s management fee and belongs to that platform, not to us — any refund of ad spend is entirely at that platform’s discretion.
- No results-based refunds. Since Atgler doesn’t guarantee specific rankings, traffic, leads, or ad performance, a refund request based solely on results falling short isn’t automatically granted — the question is whether the agreed work was actually done, not whether it produced a specific outcome.
10. How To Request A Refund
Email support@atgler.com with your invoice or order reference and the reason for your request. Atgler reviews refund requests, typically within 5 business days, and confirms the outcome and amount in writing before anything is processed. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method.
11. Changes To This Policy
We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page. The policy in effect at the time you purchased a service applies to that purchase.
